If I were a betting man…..

Back again to try my hand at picking some point-spread winners, last week though I was none too successful as the 2-6 mark makes me 44-70-3 for the season. Still beats Ted Roofs winning percentage.

Speaking of which…

Ted is in essence dead, but I think the carcass of Duke football still has enough life in it to cover +15 ½ against the Heels, BTW- yours truly has an extra, if you actually want it email me at classichost@hotmail.com .

Wake -2 on the road at Vandy, the Deacs still have a lot to play for, Vandy is liable to be a bit spent after putting out a great effort last week against UT.

In what I think is college footballs greatest rivalry I will take Auburn -5 against Alabama. After losing to Louisiana Lafayette or some equally scrubby team Nick Saban compared the shock to 9-11 or Pearl Harbor. After this week Hiroshima might be a better reference because once the Tigers roll the Tide Bama fan will be ready to go nuclear.

BC -14 against Miami, it has become obvious that the Canes have just quit caring.

In the pros we’ll take our chances with….

Cleveland -3 vs. the Texans

New Orleans -3 against Carolina, right now I doubt the Panthers could cover a car with a tarp.

And on MNF I will take the Steelers -16 against the dysfunctional Dolphins

  1. 3-0-1, nice job Paul. This has to be your best Saturday of the year. Maybe you are getting hot at the right time – going into the conference championship games and bowls. Good luck on Sunday with the NATIONAL football league!
