The Tom Ward Basketball Luncheons sponsored by the Greensboro Sports Commission took it’s first trip to our local college campuses Thursday, January 10 at noon at Guilford College.

Coach Lynne Agee of UNCG whose Spartans will look to get back in the win column as they travel to Western Carolina and Chattanooga Saturday and Monday.
Coach Stephanie Flamini of Guilford whose Quakers have started 7-1 and 3-1 in the conference and will be playing Hollins tonight. Coach Flamini will be talking a critical road trip to Randolph Macon and Virginia Wesleyan this weekend.
Coach Tom Palombo of 11th ranked Guilford (6-2, 1-0) will be summing up tonight’s game against Hampden-Sydney and this weekends critical home stretch against Randolph Macon and 17th ranked Virginia Wesleyan. The game against Virginia Wesleyan is a rematch of last season’s NCAA Quarterfinal.
Coach Phil Gaffney of Guilford Tech who have jumped out to a 13-2 start and defeated Catawba Valley CC Tuesday 81-80 and host Aiken Tech on Friday.
Coach Bart Lundy of High Point will be talking about the Panther’s record setting 124-43 win over Florida Christian and the Panther’s key home game Saturday against Winthrop. The Panthers were picked to edge out Winthrop for the conference championship.
