Greensboro College’s Dione Eccles is USA South Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Dione Eccles, Greensboro – The Clemmons, North Carolina junior guard led The Pride to a 3-0 record last week, all versus USA South competition. In the three contests, Eccles came off the bench to average 20.7 points, on 72% shooting from the floor (21-of-29), with 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.3 assists per game.

In a 72-66 win over Methodist, Eccles scored a game high 26 points on 77% shooting from the floor (10-of-13). She also grabbed seven rebounds and had a team-high three steals in the victory. In an 84-63 win over Meredith, Eccles had 17 points with three steals, two rebounds and one assist. Finally, in a 57-36 win over Averett, Eccles had a game-high 19 points to go along with eight rebounds, five steals and three assists.
