Davidson KO’s or Kilgos UNCG take your pick/ACC today

UNCG could not make some team history by picking up what would have been the biggest game/win since men set foot on campus but Kyle Hines did break the school record for career rebounds(going over 1000) but that still stinks because again, the Spartans did not get the win. The Davidson Wildcats were the winners 75-66.

Davidson came into the game at (17-0) SoCon and if UNCG would have won that game on National TV then you are talking history lesson. The Curse of John Kilgo lives. JK is the play-by-play man for Wildcat radio and he has a way of seeing disaster hit when he is around and last night it hit the UNCG Spartans.

Here’s what I posted today at DavidsonCats.com:

If UNCG would have beaten Davidson it would have been among the the top 2-3 games in UNCG basketball history. It would have to be. With the Wildcats coming in at 17-0 SoCon and if UNCG beats them on the Cats court then that is possibly the biggest win/game in UNCG history.

It’s not a big game just because you are playing a name opponent. UNCG didn’t beat Davidson but the Spartans blew a 20 point lead in Greensboro and should have got the job done on UNCG’s court.

Unfinished business and the guys at GreensboroSports.com do know what they are talking about they just will have to wait for the history to be made. Davidson got the job done.

UNCG/Rocky III anyone in Cat Country?
