Greensboro, N.C. — Dione Eccles (West Forsyth) scored 26 points and Danielle Duncan (Ragsdale) had 24 points and grabbed 20 rebounds as Greensboro College defeated Meredith, 83-47, in a USA South game at Hanes Gym on Wednesday.
The win was the sixth straight for GC, which improved to 16-7, 13-3. The Pride is tied for first in conference and closes regular season play when CNU and Shenandoah visit on Friday and Saturday. Meredith dropped to 6-17, 3-14.
Eccles made 11-22 field goals, dropped in four three-pointers and garnered six steals. Duncan made 10-14 free throws and 16 of her 20 rebounds were on the offensive glass.
GC led 46-27 at halftime. Greensboro had a 71-35 edge in rebounding.
Nicole Hall scored a team-high 24 points for the Avenging Angels.
