Greensboro College Softball Wins tied vs. CNU

Game One: GC 5, CNU 4,
Oliva Macpherson’s single in the bottom of the 7th won it for The Pride. GC trailed 4-0 and had no hits before scoring 4 times in the 6th inning.

Erica Brown got the win in relief for GC.

Game Two: GC 8, CNU 8

GC rallied from 6-0 and 8-4 deficits to tie the Captains in the nightcap. Ashley Pennington went 2-2 with 2 runs and 2 RBI to lead The Pride’s offense. Jenee Johnson was 2-4 with a run and 2 RBI.

Erin Jolly did an outstanding job in relief of starter Stacie Patterson and Brown. She allowed no hits or runs in 4 2/3 innings.

With the game tied 8-8 in the bottom of 7th, Meagan Knight tried to score on a Pennington double but was called out at the plate. The game was called due to darkness.
