Frostburg, MD — Carly Rihard scored 3 goals and passed for 5 assists at Frostburg State edged Greensboro College, 16-14, on Friday.
Christina Denney led The Pride with 6 goals and 2 assists. Teammate Christie Hebert netted 4 goals for Greensboro.
The Pride held a 7-5 lead with 5:35 left in the first half. The Bocats, however, scored the next 3 goals and led 8-7 at the break.
FSU never led by more than 2 goals in the second half. Denney’s unassisted score 9:07 left tied the game at 13. FSU, however, outscored The Pride 3-1 the rest of the way and prevailed.
GC out shot FSU 31-30, but the home team won 21 draws to 11 for GC. Stcey Pulskamp had 10 saves for The Pride.
Lindsay Lamont and Elisabeth Hildebrand both had 5 goals for the Bobcats (4-3).
