Greensboro, NC — On senior day, the Greensboro College women’s lacrosse team dropped a hard-fought game to Virginia Wesleyan 17-9 at Pride Field.
GC seniors Christina Denny, Santina Doldo, Jennifer Donah, and Caroline Young were honored before the game. Donah reached a milestone in the game with her 100th career goal.
Virginia Wesleyan’s Jillian Boyd dominated from the midfield and attack position, scoring five goals and adding one assist for the Marlins. Kasey Marchwicki, Aimee Straver and Bethany Adomanis each added two goals for Virginia Wesleyan.
Pride sophomore Christie Hebert matched Boyd’s effort with five goals of her own. Donah added two goals and an assist, and Layne Woodard scored a goal and had one assist.
