Where are they now? Shane Douglas/Troy Martin

I was wondering about this former NWA/ECW/WWF/ECW/WCW/TNA superstar-champion this morning and was thinking that he had entered the manager’s training program at WalMart but I was wrong because according to wikipedia he has acquired royalty and is now a King in a round-about way.

“The Franchise” Shane Douglas:

Douglas graduated cum laude from Bethany College in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. He went on to receive teacher certification from Geneva College. Douglas taught at Beaver High School and Western Beaver Jr/Sr High School throughout the early 1990s, teaching emotional support classes, economics, and the history of the United States.

Douglas entered drug rehabilitation in February 2006 after becoming addicted to the analgesic Oxycontin. He left rehabilitation in April 2006, having taken no Oxycontin tablets since January 2006.

Douglas is currently working at a Burger King franchise in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he is in the manager training program.

  1. Troy Martin is not a Burger King manager in Little Rock, Arkansas (of all places.) He’s in the management program for Target in the Northeasst.

It’s too bad, Andy, you have to rely on the notoriously unreliable Wikpedia for your information and you don’t have anybody to check this stuff with. It’s like counting on O’l Roy to coach your team in the Final Four.

  2. I guess Target is a step up from Burger King……Bruce Mitchell to the rescue and our “Rush to Judgement” stilll creates more stir for those on the outside lookng in.

  3. I KNOW HIM!!! hehehehe he teaches 8th grade history in my school

    he just got arrested..i think

  4. A North Sewickley Township man has been indicted by a grand jury with illegal drug possession.
According to a news release from the U.S. attorney’s office in Pittsburgh, Troy A. Martin, 44, of 3470 River Road, Apartment 1, illegally obtained pain pills from four Beaver County pharmacies in 2004 and 2005.
