Moore and Polchinski help Army to keep rolling over Navy

Clint Moore from Grimsley and J.P. Polchinski out of Ragsdale continue to help the Black Knights of Army in big way this 2008 season. If you hear of other local kids that are helping their college teams please let us know so we can get them some pub. Haven’t heard much lately on GTCC but I did hear where Greg Holt out of West Forsyth drove in a run for North Carolina this past Sunday vs. Clemson and Dustin Ackley out of North Forsyth has been doing it down at Chapel Hill in a big for over two years now and Ben Bunting out of Randleman has been in the mix and on the pro scene I saw somewhere that Madison Bumgarner out of South Caldwell will be comnig through the Carolinas soon in the South Atlantic League. Matt McSwain from Randleman High just came through here last week with the Hickory Crawdads.

Here’s the Army update on Moore and Polchinski from the West Point web site:

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Army racked up 14 hits on the way to a 7-4 victory over Navy to sweep the four-game series with Midshipmen, Monday afternoon at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium.

Army outscored Navy 33-10 over the four games, never trailed in 33 innings of play and vaulted into a tie for first place in the Patriot League standings with an outstanding weekend.

Clint Moore scored twice and had two hits, Cole White doubled twice, Kyle Stramara had three hits and J.P. Polchinski had two singles and three pitchers held Navy to four runs as Army won its seventh straight contest.
