The Spring Sports Report:What’s going on out here?

What’s going on out here? I was heading up the road this morning on the 5 mile run/jog and some old lady swerved over my way and she tried to hit me and she had a smile on her face. She was trying to push me off of the road and into the ditch. Why didn’t she just stay in her lane and slide over a bit for jogger out conducting his morning work-out?

The Spring Sports Report now goes into neutral and we go back to the normal business of relaying what is going today with the local high school baseball. All of the crazy stuff will have to wait for another Spring day.

If you didn’t catch these scores from last week, Western Guilford defeated Northeast in the Triad 3-A conference 10-7 and then the Hornets turned around and lost to Northwest Guilford 5-3.(non-conference) Southeast Guilford topped Asheboro 8-1 and has a two-game lead over Ragsdale in the Mid-Piedmont 3-A conference. Ragsdale lost to Southwest Randolph last week 13-5 and then Ragsdale defeated High Point Christian 10-0 and the Tigers rolled over Eastern Randolph 12-4. Ragsdale is now 14-3/6-2 and tied with Randleman for second place in the Mid-Piedmont conference.

On tap today and it looks to be a busy one:

East Forsyth at Page(Ryan Dull is (8-0) for EF and the Eagels are (13-3) overall and they hold the top spot in the Metro 4-A conference)
Randleman at Southeast Guilford(13-2/8-0) SEG #1 and Randleman tied for #2 in conference

*****As you can see, it is a busy day on the local high school baseball scene.*****
