Last week, I had the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas on business. While there, I was able to catch a Las Vegas 51‘s Baseball game. The 51’s are the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angles Dodgers. They play at Cashman Stadium – a 25 year old facility that looks as new today as it did when it was built. (Something to be said about low humidity and concrete – no cracks, stains or other issues.)
Las Vegas is like any other tourist town. The 51’s is definitely a local event. Lots of families, teenagers, dates, grandparents at the game. None knew of the convention I was attending (over 100,000 people attended the convention). It was actually a fresh look at Las Vegas life to see the other side of “Sin City”.
