Not Intimidated
Durand Blanks Kannapolis Through Seven Solid Frames

Kannapolis, N.C. – A return to the open road may have been just want Greensboro needed as the Hoppers returned to the win column Monday with a 7-1 victory over the Kannapolis Intimidators.

The Hoppers (29-28) got a much-needed outing from their starting pitcher Brett Durand. Durand shut out Kannapolis (25-32) through seven innings of work and allowed only four hits as he improved to 6-2 on the season. His outing matched the longest by a Hoppers starter this season; Colby Miller went the same distance on April 23 against the same Intimidators squad.
