Hanover named North Carolina’s top player…..

Among our baseball people there has been a lot of discussion about this kid at GREENSBOROSports.com. Let’s see what is going on with him now that the High School season is complete.

â–  Tyler Hanover of North Davidson has been selected as the North Carolina HS baseball player of the year by Gatorade.

Hanover, who played his first three seasons at East Forsyth before transferring, finished his senior season at North with a .493 batting average, 42 RBIs, 12 home runs and 22 runs scored. He also had a 1.095 slugging percentage and a .533 on-base percentage and pitched 12 innings, finishing with three saves and a 1.70 earned run average.

Hanover (5-7, 165) has signed to play at LSU and is a finalist for Gatorade’s national player-of-the-year award, which will be announced later this month.
