Power splits games on Saturday at Omaha, Nebraska…

I spoke with coach Johnny Smith on Saturday night and he gave me the roundup on the Proehlific Power and their games from yesterday in the tournament at Omaha, Nebraska.

The PP lost game one on Saturday to team out of Idaho. The final score was 13-5 and JB Brewer ended up as the losing pitcher. Matt Nettesheim had a good day for the Power at the plate going 2-4 with a home run and 2RBI’s.

The Power was victorious in game number two, 1-0, over the Primetime Patriots, the host team from Omaha, Nebraska. Logan Self got the win for the Power in the game that only went three innings because of rain. Zach Reffey drove in Timmy Dezearns with a sacrifice fly. Dezearns was on base and scored the game-winner, while running for Lyle Donaldson, when Reffey drove him in with that game-winning RBI.

The Proehlific Power improved to (17-7) with the win in game two on Saturday and they are set to play again today(Sunday) in the afternoon. Again on Saturday the PP lose game one but win game two and they will continue on in the tournament until they lose another ball game.

Tiger Miller out of Southeast Guilford High School is also out in Omaha this week involved in a tournament and his team won on Friday 6-1.
