New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox get big afternoon wins, Ramirez and Jacobs push Marlins to victory…

There’s very little baseball going that you can actually get outside and see with the Grasshoppers on the road down in Georgia and with the rain it’s tough to find any Triad Amateur Baseball(formerly known as Palomino) or American Legion action going on here locally so it’s Major League Baseball for Wednesday at GREENSBOROSports.com.

We will be on the road on Thursday with the 7 on 7 HS football at Northeast with Southeast Guilford and their newly installed offense coming out to NEG on Hicone Road and there’s the Wooden Bat softball league playing at Rankin School.

Here’s some of the results from this afternoon in the Major Leagues with two games in the American and one in the National:

The Boston Red Sox(55-39) blasted the Minnesota Twins(50-41), 18-5…..
The New York Yankees(49-42) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays(55-35), 2-1 in 10 innings…..
The Florida Marlins(47-44) topped the San Diego Padres(36-56), 5-2…..Hanley Ramirez with #22 and Mike Jacobs connecting for #19 in 2008, homered for the Marlins…..

Later tonight it’s the Atlanta Braves(43-48) at the Los Angeles Dodgers(44-46)…..Tim Hudson gets the call for the Braves and Derrick Lowe is set to go for the Dodgers…..
