December 5, 2008 (Friday) – Greensboro NC
Highspots.com presents “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair! Plus, Morton and Gibson will face Lane and Eaton for the first time in 20 years, Goldust will be back in Greensboro, Ricky Steamboat is coming back; although it’s Ricky Jr., and George South will be in the house as professional wrestling joins the Ricky Proehl team at the Proehlific Park on Jessup Grove at Horsepen Creek Road on Friday December 5.
Remember Stan Lane is the son of Wally Lane and he was the best friend of now-deceased Phil Wise, and both Lane and Wise attended Page High School and they were the Pirates back in the 70’s. Many feel like Stan Lane owns this town and that Ric Flair has no business coming back here and digging up all the old memories but long-time Flair fans such as Bruce Mitchell, John Hitchcock, Dan Grondy, Bud Grondy, Obin Johnson, Big Eddie, Steve Stamper, Chris Cruise, and Billy Pritchett may be set to argue this point.
Remember this is Stan’s hometown and he should be honored as the returning hero and not Ric Flair. We should proclaim Friday December 5, “Stan Lane Day”, and have a ticker-tape parade down New Garden Road in Stan the Man’s honor. Have fun at the event and here’s the real deal:
Proehlific Park Sports Complex, Greensboro NC 6 PM
Featuring the former 16 time World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, Rock & Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) vs. Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane), Dustin “Goldust” Rhodes, George South, Ricky Steamboat, Jr. and many more. VIP ticket packages include one autograph and a photo with Ric Flair and a ringside seat for the wrestling matches that night.
Special attraction – Scheduled only for his Greensboro Appearance: Ric Flair will be appearing with his original, historic NWA World Championship Belt, which will also be on display for fans to see, exclusively at this show in Greensboro!
