Saying good-bye from a good guy, Dave Goren

Hi Everyone,

I apologize to everyone who already knows and for the mass e-mails, but I wanted to let as many people as possible know that as of December 31st, I will no longer be employed at WXII-TV. After 20+ years, the station has decided not to renew my contract. They have been very good to me and continue to be fair as we say goodbye.

My last day on the air is Monday, December 9th.

I would like to thank each and every one of you for all the help, friendship and support you have given to me over the last 20 years. I could not have lasted this long without you!

My plan is to stay in these parts and look for the next opportunity that comes my way. I am open to most anything and would welcome any leads.

Again, thank you all for everything you have done for me. And I hope to still see or talk to all of you in the future.

With warmest regards,

Dave Goren
Sports Director
Winston-Salem, NC

  1. It is time for Time Warner News 14 to have a Triad Anchor, to go with the ones in Raleigh and Charlotte. HIRE DAVE NOW!
