I have never coached a game were we did not shoot a single free-throw. Eastern only had 3 fouls called on them the entire game and they play man to man defense the entire game! WOW

Eastern Guilford (14-10) — Miranda Jenkins 15, Kristen Crosby 15, Tierra Purcell 14, Amira Jamison 11, Capricia Smalls 8, April Totten 4.

  1. I was at the game…The referees were not consistent. No way the foul count in the second half should have been 10-2….

  2. Southern Guilford got hosed. There’s no way Eastern should have won that game. It’s hard to win when you are playing 5 on 8.

  3. They won by 27. Do you honestly think the refs cost Southern that many points. They would have had to call 14 more fouls on Eastern for Southern to win. I don’t think I have ever seen refs blow a 27 point game.

  4. They won by 27 and very much so 14 more fouls could have been called. Southern had a strong run that cut into the lead (11) and still going strong until 4 striaght non calls and Eastern finishing on the other end kill Southern’s spirit. I have never seen anything like that game. Both teams before that point were playing good basketball. You can’t blame Eastern’s or Southern’s coach for what the refs did. They have 2 outstanding coaches. Good luck to them both!
