ACC Women’s hoops from Tuesday night

No. 21 Virginia Takes Down No. 11 FSU, 68-63

No. 21 Virginia women’s basketball defeated No. 11 Florida State, 68-63, Tuesday night on the road. Lyndra Littles scored 24 points to lead the Cavaliers, while Aisha Mohammed had her 12th double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

With 17 points, Monica Wright set a new single-season high for Virginia and she has now scored 615 points this season. The previous single-season high was 612 points (Heather Burge in 1993).

With the win, Virginia improved to 22-7 overall, 8-5 in the ACC. Florida State’s record went to 23-6 overall, 11-2 in the league.
