More on Girl’s playoffs from Tuesday

SOUTH CALDWELL GIRLS: Wild card playoff invitee pulls the biggest upset of the tournament so far, taking down Metro No. 1 Northwest Guilford 63-50.

Eastern Guilford quietly defeated Northwood 80-50 in the first round of the High School State playoffs at UNCG.

The Wildcats led 37-21 at the half and then went on a seven point run and never looked back. They were led by Junior Capricia Small 31 points and Sophomore Miranda Jenkins 24 points. Junior Amerijah Jamison dominated the boards to grab a season high 15 rebounds. Juniors Kristin Crosby 8 points and 5 rebounds and April Totten had three steals played tremendous defense in helping to secure the victory. They advance to the second round on Thursday at UNCG.
