The way the new Conferences will look next season

We had someone post the new Conference lineups for next year and this showed up earlier in the week, and here it is again for those who might have missed it.

2009/2010 school-year:
For the re-alignment the old Metro 4-A conference will consist of:
Page
Grimsley
Dudley
Smith
Southeast Guilford
Western Guilford
Southern Alamance

The other 4-A conference will be:
Northwest Guilford
Southwest Guilford
Ragsdale
HPC
Glenn
East Forysth
Parkland

3-A conference will be:
Morehead
Rockingham County
McMichael
Western Alamance
Eastern Alamance
Williams
Northern Guilford
Eastern Guilford

The other 3-A conference will be:
Southern Guilford
Northeast Guilford
Southwestern Randolph
Asheboro
Ledford
North Forsyth

  1. Northeast Guilford and Southwestern Randolph in the same conference? I believe that will be a long haul for each.

  2. Western Guilford used to travel to Mt. Airy for conference games a few years back. This year they travel to Eden and Yanceville.

  3. I agree that the second 4A conference will be tough. NW, SW, Ragsdale, Glenn, and East Forsyth has been very good at producing some very good baseball teams. This will be power house conference for baseball. Should see some college scouts at a few of these games over the next few years.

    This conference will be a Power house for wrestling and track as well with Parkland and HPC joining the others.

  4. Northern boys and girls basketball teams should dominate this division. They have no competition at all.
