Coach Morgan: long-time Cheerleading coach at Page now in charge at Greensboro College

Kathryn Morgan has been named cheerleading coach/spirit liaison at Greensboro College, announced Pride Athletics Director Kim Strable.

A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill–where she was a year round cheerleader–Coach Morgan has had many years of cheerleading coaching experience. She has coached at the club, junior varsity and high school levels.

Most recently, she was the varsity coach at Western Guilford High School. Prior to that, she spent nine years as the varsity coach at Page High School. At Page she had the privilege of coaching both of her daughters, who both went on to become collegiate cheerleaders.

Morgan also works as an art teacher for the Guilford County Schools. Her present assignments are at nearby Sternberger Elementary and Lindley Elementary schools.

“Coach Morgan is passionate about cheerleading and is driven to make a difference in the lives of all under her influence,” Strable said. “She brings an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to Greensboro College and our cheerleading program. We believe we have found a wonderful match.”

Morgan lives in Greensboro with her husband, Larry. She enjoys horseback riding and kayaking in her free time.
