Be sure to watch Grasshoppers Master Yogi Berra make his national television debut Tuesday at 8:20 a.m. during FOX & Friends on the FOX News channel. The FOX News anchors in New York will interview Yogi and his owner, Grasshoppers President/General Manager Donald Moore, live from Raleigh, N.C.
The national coverage has stemmed from the April 22 School Day, when Yogi got ejected from the game by home plate umpire Jason Hutchings. Yogi battling a stomach virus and fever that day, Yogi was performing his usual between inning promotion by fetching a ball shot to deep center field. On his way back to the dugout, the one-year-old Labrador inexplicably stopped and let the effects of his stomach problems take its course on the field.
Hutchings immediately tossed him, and in doing so, likely made Yogi the first do to ever be ejected from a professional baseball game.
