Power-down in Omaha

The Proehlific Power got rained out today in Omaha, Nebraska at their tournament and they will now play two games on Saturday.

Coach Johnny Smith said that after last night’s CWS game was complete the bottom fell out and it rained hard in Omaha on into the night and to this morning.

From what we saw on ESPN2 with Mike Patrick and Robin Ventura, the bottom fell out for North Carolina in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Arizona State got sticking, kicking and Kole Calhoun gave the ball a good licking for the Sun Devils as they moved on to face the Texas Longhorns in the next round of the College World Series.

The Proehlific Power will face a doubleheader on Saturday with game one set for 3:30pm and game two due to start at 6:30.

Logan Self(High Point Wesleyan) is scheduled to start game one for the PP and JB Brewer is slated to be the starter in game number two.
