Greensboro College volleyball Head Coach Jean Lojko has announced commitments from five student athletes. Brittany Hunsucker, Devin Harris, Laura Borawski, Marcella Cranford, and Hailey Phillips will join The Pride in 2009.
Hunsucker is a transfer from Barton College and GTCC. “Brittany is a middle hitter that I expect to have an immediate impact on the team,” said Lojko. She prepped at Ragsdale High School in nearby Jamestown.
Cranford is from Randleman, NC and played at Asheboro High School. “Marcella is a 6-1 right side who has had great high school coaching and club experience and we expect Marcie to contribute right away,” Lojko said.
Borawski (La Plata, MD/Maurice J. McDonough), Phillps (Sanford, NC/Lee High School) and Harris (Kittrell,NC/South Granville High School) will compete the important setting position. “They all have experience playing setter in high school and club, so we are hoping for great things from each of them and great competition in training camp.”
