A tough day on the street

Got the bad news today and it’s almost enough to make you sick on your stomach.

The word on the street down by the downtown public library(Sports Central) is that Jordan Weethe, Page Pirate rising senior, tore his ACL last week and and he is going to be out 5-6 months and he will miss his entire senior basketball campaign at Page, barring some sort of miracle.

Jordan(6’6 G/F) had been working real hard this summer and was hoping to land the attention of the DI scouts in his last year on the basketball court at Page.

Weethe has a great three-point shot and he rebounds the ball well for a kid that likes to take the ball outside, but I will say this; based on what I saw last year, he took the ball back up with strong effort when he moved inside……….

Let’s hope he gets it back together and that his injury will be on the mend with proper medical attention.

If I got this confused and it is a ruptured achilles tendon instead of the torn ACL, just keep in mind, I lost my medical license right after I wrecked my bike out on the street by the museum.

Let’s hope that Jordan heals quickly so that he can still have a chance if he wants to be a Heel, a Blue Devil, a Wolfpacker, Demon Deacon or whatever.

He’s on the road to recover, we hope.

  1. With this injury, and Mitch Oates moving over to HPCA, looks like Page will be going through a rebuilding period, and they might have to move some young guns up from the freshman team and JV early.

  2. word on the street is that him and oates will be playing together again in the future. cant confirm that though.

  3. im 99% sure that I spotted Weethe today while I was picking up my brother from school, the only thing is that my brother doesn’t go to page

  4. I hope jordan comes out alright and gets a shot at playin in college, he’s a great guy i got to play on his aau team with him this summer. If he cant play at page it would be cool to see him and mitch playin toegether at HPC next year.

  5. If its true it makes sense. He reclasses, gets almost like a redshirt year, them him and oates play next season with a coach they are very familiar with. They will make HPCA pretty good as well.

  6. Word on the street over at Northern Guilford is that linebacker Chris McCain is leaving and going to Central Carolina Sports Academy. Does anyone know anything about this place? My son told me that the coach started today’s practice with the news that McCain was for sure gone.

  7. We have been hearing all kinds of rumblings and it sounds like we may have more kids on the streets…..
