Fun Fest at N.C. A&T



Fun Fest includes Media Day


GREENSBORO, N.C., August 20, 2009 – The North Carolina A&T football team will usher in the 2009 season with the second annual Aggie Football Fun Fest to be held August 29 at Aggie Stadiumâ€s parking lot.


Gates will open at 10 a.m. Admission is free.


Thanks to great assistance from student leaders and organizations, the athletics staff is prepared to provide exciting activities for the entire family, including a dunking booth. Entertainment will be provided by the electrifying Blue and Gold Marching Machine and the beautiful and talented Aggie Cheerleading squad. Aggie football players will be on hand to sign autographs, and food (hot dogs, chips and drink) will be served at no cost to the public.


The media portion of the event will begin at 12:20 p.m. After answering questions from the media, N.C. A&T head coach Alonzo Lee will go on stage to address the crowd. Fans are encouraged to submit questions for coach Lee at Selected questions will be asked to coach Lee by the sports media staff once he goes on stage.


“We really enjoy reaching out to the community in this way,â€â€ said Lee. â€â€Weâ€re building something special here, and we want people to be a part of it. Weâ€re overly excited about bringing a winner back to North Carolina A&T.”


The Aggies open the season against Winston-Salem State at Bowman Gray Stadium, Saturday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. The first home game is Sept. 12 at 6 p.m., against Norfolk State.



10 a.m. Gates open

Childrenâ€s activities begin/food served/Radio DJâ€s interact with crowd and play music


11:30 a.m. Band and Cheerleaders Perform


Noon Football team arrives


12:15 p.m. Autograph session begins


12:20 p.m. Players and coaches are made available to the media
