Greensboro College women’s soccer rolls over Rutgers(Newark)

Bridgewater, Va. — Freshman Mary Reinhardt (Winston-Salem, NC/Mount Tabor) scored one goal and had two assists as Greensboro College defeated Rutgers Newark, 4-0, on Sunday at the Bridgewater Tournament. Senior Tessa Hall (Greensboro, N.C./Ragsdale) scored and assisted once for The Pride (1-1).

Katie Allegro (Statesville, NC/West Iredell ) recorded her first shutout of the season and had three saves. The score was 2-2 at the break.

Freshman Jessica Jameson (Columbus, OH/Davidson) scored the game’s first goal in the second minute. GC’s final tally was recorded by freshman Hannah Coats (Pfafftown, NC/Reagan) off an assist from Beth Ward (Frisco, Tex./Wakeland).

Kat Renteria had 10 saves for Rutgers Newark. GC led in shots 19-5, and had the edge in corners 6-2.
