Zach is back and other local young men on the college football scene

Big day for QB Zach Maynard(Grismley HS) for Buffalo University in the Bulls 40-3 win over Gardner-Webb on Saturday.
Maynard was 16-20 for 232 yards with 3TD’s and no INT’s while GW’s James ‘Tre Perry III WR(Dudley HS) had 2 receptions for 18 yards for the Bulldogs.

Toney Baker RB(Ragsdale HS) had 73 yards on 9 carries with 1TD, plus 2 catches for 22 yards in N.C State’s 49-28 loss to Duke……

Dominque Midgett LB(Dudley HS) has 14 solo tackles and 13 assists for 27 tackles on the season for Wake Forest, while teammae Kenny Okoro DB(Dudley) has 15 solos and 1 assist in two starts through six games for Wake.

Jamaral Rease LB(Grimsley) lead UNC-Pembroke to a 38-7 win over Fairmont on Saturday when he tied for the team-lead in tackles, with 3 solos and 2 assists…..

James Pegues DE(Southeast Guilford) had 1 tackle and 4 assists for Winston-Salem State in the Rams’ loss to Howard back on October 3rd.

Brandon Peguese LB(Grimsley) had 1 tackle, 1 assist and 1.5 tackles for loss in Hampton University’s 37-0 win over Howard on Saturday.

Brandon Wiggins LB(Smith HS) had 1 solo tackle and 4 assists for 5 Total Tackles for Elon in the Phoenix’ 43-7 win over The Citadel on Saturday while QB Scott Riddle(Eastern Randolph) was 18-33 for 220 yards and 2TD’s and Riddle punted 2 times for an 46.5 average.

Robert Lane(Grimsley) RB at Georgetown has 58 yards on 15 carries and 334 yards on 34 receptions(9.8 yards per catch) through 6 games this season for the Hoyas…….

Remene Alston(Page) RB at Oregon with 3 games having 23 carries for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns on the year with the Ducks topping UCLA last weekend. Remene is averaging 38.7 yards per game…..

Kevion Latham(Page) LB at Penn State with 6 Total Tackles including 1 solo and 5 assists, plus 2 tackles for losses and half a sack on the season with Penn State at (5-1) with their only loss to Iowa………
