Whirlies racking up W’s in Soccer

The Grimsley Whirlies soccer team has been racking up the W’s and we had the skinny on Page-GDS a week or so back and it is time to get the Whirlies into the headlines with their play as late being right on time.

Grimsley, Page and Southwest Guilford have all been having stellar fall seasons and since Will Curtis moved on to UNC, the Whirlies are still bringing their game to the net and keeping a close watch/lock on the back of net defensively.

Here’s a few notes on what the Whirlies have been doing so far this season(2009) and we hope to have more good news as the playoffs get rolling in full force next week…

They’re looking very good this year with a record of (14-4-1).
Two of the losses were close games to undefeated Page, one loss to undefeated SW Guilford and a one goal loss to WS Reynolds.

The Whirlie boys are playing very good soccer right now and have sewn up second place in the Metro, right behind Page, heading into the State Playoffs next week.

Keep on bringing it Grimsley Whirlies!
