COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A man wanted in connection with a North Carolina murder has been arrested at a hotel in Colorado Springs.
Police said 32-year-old Bogdan Rudenko surrendered peacefully Friday at a Howard Johnson’s hotel after several hours of negotiations.
He is suspected in a Dec. 20 slaying in Stallings, N.C.
Stallings police chief Larke Plyler told The Gazette of Colorado Springs that a motive hasn’t been established.
Rudenko is the minor league hockey player who played for the now-defunct Twin City Cyclones in Winston-Salem, N.C. in the 2008-09 season. The hockey player was known for his fighting skills.
