We won’t be able to saw off the roof of the Bob Sawyer Gym tonight and pack in the fans: No high school hoops this evening

No high school basketball tonight since the schools are letting out two hours early today due to the on-coming inclement weather.(No Page at Grimsley tonight so the roof will stay on the building/Bob Sawyer Gym.)

The Guilford County Schools have at least one case of a school(Early College at GTCC), that lets out at 5-6pm and the students are on buses headed home and the route is not complete until nearly 9pm each night Monday-Friday and that is where part of the concern lies….

We can point toward the Greensboro Day School at High Point Wesleyan contests, as the only games we will still see happening tonight and the girls game is set to go at 4pm and the boys at 5:30…..The GDS Bengals face the HP Wesleyan Trojans for the first time this season and the Leek brothers look to be a factor and how much of a factor; we will all just have to go over to High Point and see for ourselves….

Start time set for 5:30 with GDS vs. HPW and the re-match is already set for February 19 at GDS…….

Page at Grimsley has been moved to Monday, February 1 and if school is not in session that day, then the game will be re-set for Wednesday February 3, which is next week BTW…….

High Point Central at NWG has been re-scheduled for Monday, February 8….

Southwest Guilford at Ragsdale has been cancelled for today rescheduled for Saturday Feb. 6th – girls at 2pm and boys at 3:30pm.

  1. Andy,
ESPN Sportscenter featured a spot on Deuce Bello lastnight on another incredible dunk he made. They even interviewed him and possibly want to set up a showdown between Deuce and NBA star Nate Robinson. It was pretty funny.
