Wake Forest Falls to Kentucky, 90-60, in Second Round of NCAA Tournament

NEW ORLEANS (AP) – Darius Miller scored a career-high 20 points and top-seeded Kentucky made easy work of No. 9-seeded Wake Forest during a 90-60 rout Saturday night in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Miller scored 16 points in the first half to help the Wildcats build an early double-digit lead that ballooned beyond 30 in the second half.

Al-Farouq Aminu led Wake Forest (20-11) with 16 points and eight rebounds. C.J. Harris scored 11 points off the bench, while Ishmael Smith dished out a team-best four assists in his final collegiate game.

L.D. Williams scored six points to surpass the 1,000-point mark. Williams finishes his career with 1,005 points.

Saturday’s game was also the last for seniors Chas McFarland and David Weaver. McFarland turned in eight points and three rebounds, while Weaver had two points and three boards. Wake Forest ends its season at 20-11 overall.
