WORLD No. 14 ANTHONY KIM JOINS WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Anthony Kim, the No. 14 player in the current Official
World Golf Rankings, will play the Wyndham Championship, it was announced
today. The 71st Wyndham Championship begins Monday, Aug. 16 at Sedgefield
Country Club.

Kim is currently 13th in the FedExCup point standings, and he is the
highest-ranked player to join the Wyndham field so far. He won the Shell
Houston Open in April and finished third at the Masters the following week.
After finishing tied for seventh at the Quail Hollow Championship in
Charlotte, the Los Angeles native had hand surgery and did not make another
start until last week’s World Golf Championship in Akron, Ohio.

Kim joins a Wyndham Championship field that already includes 2008 Masters
winner Trevor Immelman, 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover, two-time
Wyndham winners Davis Love III and Rocco Mediate, John Daly, David Duval,
David Toms and the last three Wyndham Championship winners, Ryan Moore, Carl
Pettersson and Brandt Snedeker.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of the Wyndham Championship next week,”
said Kim. “I’m excited to be back playing and want to pick up where I left
off before having hand surgery earlier in the year. I’d love nothing more
than to be able to do that with a good showing at the Wyndham Championship.”

Kim has four top-10 finishes in eight starts this season and is a three-time
PGA TOUR winner. In addition to this year’s win, he won the AT&T National
and the Quail Hollow Championship in 2008. He played for the victorious
United States team in last year’s Presidents Cup and the 2008 Ryder Cup.
He is currently sixth in the 2010 Ryder Cup point standings.

“This announcement is huge news for the Wyndham Championship and Piedmont
Triad golf fans,” tournament director Mark Brazil said. “Anthony Kim is an
absolute superstar on the PGA TOUR, and he has excelled at every level.
He’s played in the Ryder Cup, the Presidents Cup, and he’s won three times
already. That’s a major statement for a 25-year-old.”
