12 Tar Heel players will be missing possibly 15, when UNC meets LSU

from www.wralsportsfan.com:

More than a dozen players from the University of North Carolina football team did not board the bus Friday morning, left behind as their teammates head to Atlanta for the first game of the season.

The university declared six players ineligible for Saturday’s game: defensive tackle Marvin Austin, cornerback Charles Brown, cornerback Kendric Burney, wide receiver Greg Little, defensive end Michael McAdoo and defensive end Robert Quinn.

An additional six players won’t play while their eligibility is in question. They are: tailback Shaun Draughn, defensive end Linwan Euwell, safety Brian Gupton, tailback Ryan Houston, safety Da’Norris Searcy and safety Jonathan Smith.

The Tar Heels take on LSU in a nationally televised game Saturday at 8 p.m. from the Georgia Dome.

  1. Ditto….I couldn’t agree with you more…..I enjoy listening to the radio versions of these games and this would have been one to follow, but now why even tune in more than once or twice to catch one update and the final and that’s it…..

I bet Woody and his crew will have fun with this one…..

The statement was made on the radio this morning and it bears repeating, “There is no way that Carolina can win this game”……

  2. I would like to know what kind of game the boys that didn’t board the bus will be playing in Chapel Hill tomorrow night; while their mates are getting it handed to them on a slab down in Georgia.

  3. Will be there on Saturday in Chapel Hill to support the team members that have stayed behind. I will not make the trip to LSU.
