GLEN ALLEN, Va. – Guilford College shot a six-over-par 294 Sunday to win the
14-team Ted Keller Memorial Men’s Golf Tournament Sunday at the Hunting
Hawk Golf Club. The Quakers shot 288-294-582 to win the 36-hole event by 12
strokes over second-place Bridgewater College (295-299-594).
Bridgewater’s Travis Gahman shot four-under 68-72-140 to take medalist
honors by four strokes over Roanoke College’s Brandon Ketron. The Quakers
placed all five golfers among the top-12 finishers. Mat Hennick (72-73),
Noah Ratner (72-73) and Alex Wise (Eden, N.C./Carlisle School (Va.)) (71-74)
all shot one-over 145 for the tournament and shared third place in the
75-man field. Dusty Roberts (Reidsville, N.C./Rockingham County) shot
73-74-147 to finish seventh and teammate J.T. Thomas shot 73-77-150 to place
12th.
The Quakers, ranked first in the current Golfstat.com NCAA Division III
Head-to-Head Rankings, return to action Oct. 10-11 when they host the
Greensboro-Gordin Classic at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro.
