Guilford’s volleyball team dropped its second 3-2 decision in as many nights
Friday, falling at Methodist, 25-21, 18-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-12. Brittany
Freeman had 16 kills and Traci Teague added 15 for the Quakers.
Guilford fell to visiting Greensboro, 3-2, Thursday on the Quakers’ Dig Pink
Night. The Quakers won the first and fourth sets, but Greensboro took the
fifth and deciding set 15-12. Freeman’s 19 kills and 10 digs led Guilford.
Guilford’s golf team hosts the first of four tournaments this season when 18
of the top NCAA Division III teams in the nation visit the Grandover Resort
this weekend. The Greensboro-Gordin Classic Invitational is dedicated this
season to the memory of former Guilford coach Jack Jensen.
