Five from Greensboro College earn USAS All-Conference honors

Led by second team honoree Brian Green (Stuart, FL/Martin County), Greensboro College football earned five All Conference honors, the USA South announced today.

A senior defensive end, Green had 79 tackles and team-bests for sacks (4 for 26 yards) and tackles for loss (12 for 59). Green closed his career fifth all-time in tackles for loss (116).

The Pride had three student-athletes earn honorable mention recognition: Cody McCray (Greensboro, NC /Ragsdale), Allen Stallings (Manteo, NC/Manteo) and Antwan Thorpe (Oxford, NC/Webb).

A defensive back, McCray was third on the club with 64 tackles and recorded two interceptions on the year. Stallings, a linebacker, led the GC defense with 89 stops and had three sacks. Thorpe had 656 receiving yards and five touchdowns as a Pride wide receiver.

Senior offensive lineman John Mohnasky (Severna Park, MD/Glen Burnie) was Greensboro College’s selection to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
