Guilford College women claim ODAC win on Tuesday evening

Guilford Defeats Randolph, 75-41, In ODAC Women’s Hoops Action

Greensboro, N.C. — Freshman Morgan King scored 12 points and
grabbed a game-high nine rebounds to lead Guilford to a 75-41 ODAC victory over visiting Randolph College Tuesday evening. King led a trio of Quakers who notched double digit scoring on the evening.

In a game that started slowly, Guilford (7-5, 3-4 ODAC) got strong a
performance from Gabby Oglesby who scored a team-high 14 points off of the
beach. Senior Lauren LeFevers added 13 points and seven rebounds in the
game. The Quakers exploded for 28 points in the final 10 minutes of the
first half after being held to only 11 points early in the first half.

Brandie Witt led the way with 16 points for the Wildcats (0-11, 0-6 ODAC)
who kept the game close through the first 10 minutes of play. She was joined
by teammates Courtney Bouchard and Olivia Johnson who tallied 13 and 10
points respectively.

Guilford returns to action Friday evening (Jan. 14) playing host to
ODAC-rival Bridgewater at 7:00 p.m. in the Ragan-Brown Field House. This
Saturday (Jan. 15) is Guilford’s Youth Day in the Ragan-Brown Field House. Children are invited to attend the Quakers’ Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game with Eastern Mennonite University
at 4:00 p.m.
