Danielle Duncan(Greensboro College/Ragsdale HS) USA South Player of the Week

Danielle Duncan (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale) of Greensboro College has been named the USA South Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Duncan averaged a double-double of 21.7 points and 12.7 rebounds to go along with 1.3 blocks, 1.0 steals and 1.0 assists per game as The Pride, ranked 21st nationally, compiled a 3-0 record last week.

The junior forward/center tallied a double-double in each of her contests. In an 82-31 win over Bennett, Duncan scored 22 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, collected two steals, dished out one assist and blocked one shot. In a 77-58 win over USA South foe Peace, Duncan totaled 29 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Finally, in a 65-61 victory over USA South rival, fifth-ranked Christopher Newport, Duncan contributed 14 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

This is Duncan’s fourth time winning the honor. The Pride (16-0, 10-0) hosts Methodist on Friday night.
