Greensboro College baseball makes it four straight wins, with 5-1 Tuesday victory over Emory and Henry

Greensboro, N.C. — Michael Manfro (Fauquier, VA/Notre Dame Academy) had two hits, scored the winning run, and struck out the side in the ninth inning to lead Greensboro College over Emory & Henry, 5-1, at War Memorial Stadium on Tuesday. The win was the fourth straight for GC (4-7).

Manfro went 2-3 at the plate and–on a double steal–took home for the winning run in the fourth inning. Ramel Graham (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) started on the mound and pitched a solid 4 2/3 innings. David Schilling (Morrisville, PA/Pennsburg High School) hurled 2 1/3 and got the win. J.R. Pike (Graham, NC/Graham) tossed the eighth before Manfro took the hill in the top of the ninth.

GC pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts and held E&H (0-5) to five hits. Josh Mcmillian went 3-4 to lead Wasp batters.

The Pride hosts CNU on Saturday. The game series begins at 4 p.m. at Stoner White Stadium.
