CHARLOTTE, N.C. from www.BigSouthSports.com :UNC Asheville junior Ryan Dull (East Forsyth/Winston-Salem, N.C.) has been named the Big South Conference and The Crons Brand Pitcher of the Week and Presbyterian College freshman 1B/C Brad Zebedis (Rock Hill, S.C.) has been named the Choice Hotels Baseball Player of the Week for games played March 14-20, it was announced today by the League office.

Dull led UNC Asheville to a Big South series-opening win over Gardner-Webb last Friday that ended the Running Bulldogs nine-game win streak in the process. He held the League’s top-hitting team to just three hits in seven innings of work, and fanned nine while walking two in earning the victory.

Gardner-Webb managed a .130 batting average against Dull and did not score against the righthander. Dull’s line last week: 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R/ER, 2 BB, 9 SO, .130 opponent’s batting average.

Other Player of the Week Nominees: Jaren Sustar (Charleston Southern), Mike Mercurio (High Point), Michael Robertson (Liberty) and Tyler Cook (Winthrop).

Other Pitcher of the Week Nominees: Stew Brase (Charleston Southern), Josh Conway
(Coastal Carolina), Spencer Andrews (High Point), Keegan Linza (Liberty) and Buck Mosteller (Presbyterian College).
