CBS ran Jim Nantz remembers the 1975 Master Golf Tournament and there was Jim Thacker, now deceased, on hole #14 and Jim sounded great, from back in 1975…
In fact the entire tournament sounded good with Vin Sculley, Frank Gleiber, Ben Wright, Pat Summerall, and others on the call…..
Jack Nicklaus held off the charges from Johnny Miller and Tom Weiskopf to win the 1975 tournament and again, it was nice to hear that old voice of Jim Thacker, who used to be at WBTV in Charlotte, as Jim took us down memory lane and Jim Nantz led us on to the cart path, marking the way to this year’s final round of The Masters, on CBS……
