Randleman High School now part of the Mel Kiper Jr. 7ON7U National Tournament

RANDLEMAN HIGH SCHOOL GAINS NATIONAL RECOGNITION AND JOINS THE MEL KIPER JR. 7ON7U NATIONAL TOURNAMENT SERIES*

Randleman, NC —Coach Shane Handy today announced that
Randleman High School 7on7 Passing Tournament has been selected by Mel Kiper Jr. 7on7U to host the Mel Kiper Jr. 7on7U NC State Championship. The Guilford College Shootout will be NorthCarolina’s 7on7U State Qualifying Tournament for the Mel Kiper Jr. 7on7U National Championship held in Washington, DC July 14th to the 16th. The Guilford College Shootout has joined Mel Kiper, Jr.7on7U
National Tournament Series Network to expand the opportunities for
participants tocompete beyond the regional level and move on to a National
Passing and LinemenChampionship. Teams from all over the U.S. will compete
for a grand prize donation of $10,000 to their school or club and the title
of Mel Kiper Jr. 7on7U National Champion.

“The Guilford College Shootout tournament will be one of the most
competitive and organized 7on7 events in the country and Coach Shane Handy is
a coach who has a proven track record as a winner. Coach Handy’s innate
ability in developing high energy and team-oriented programs that make teams
better during the off season is well known throughout the state. We’re
excited to associate our program with such an accomplished High School
coach,” Mel Kiper stated. “Seven-on-seven passing leagues are the fastest
growing off-season sport in the U.S. “Parents and coaches want
student-athletes to continue skills development throughout the year,” noted
Kiper. “7on7U provides a true competition path all the way to a national
championship that doesn’t compete with the standard football season.” The
Mel Kiper Jr. 7on7U National Championship Series has tournaments in 24
States with an estimated 450 High School teams trying to reach the Mel Kiper
Jr. 7on7U National Championship.
