  1. Nice hitting the long ball by Northwest last night over at Parkland. Four Vikings hit the long ball including Nick Mahaffey, Sanders Kuxhausen, Duncan Everett, and Ben Schmucker. Nice pitching by Keaton Haack with one hit over 5 innings. The gun showed some touches of 91-92 mph.

Heard East Forsyth beat Southwest by one run to tighten up the Piedmont Triad 4A baseball standings. Don’t know the details. I think East Forsyth goes to 5-2, Southwest goes to 5-4, Ragsdale at 5-5, and Northwest goes to 6-4. Glenn is on top the standings at 7-1. Plenty of baseball left with Southwest having another game against East Forsyth. East Foryth having games left against Northwest and Glenn. Glenn and Ragsdale also have a game left.

Looking forward to watching the Vikings play in the Wilmington tournament next week. The boys always have a good time at the beach in a great tournament in the sun over Easter break!!! Northwest was runner-up last year. They beat eventual 4A state champion Wilmington Laney last year. All the best to the Vikings in the tournament.
