Men’s Golf Results – Top-Ranked Guilford Leads After First Round at ODAC Championships

CAPE CHARLES, Va. – Top-ranked Guilford College placed all five golfers among the top-13 individuals and leads after Sunday’s first round of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships at the Bay Creek Resort. The Quakers shot 303 and hold a four-shot edge over second-place Hampden-Sydney College and Randolph-Macon College in the eight-team field.

Guilford junior Dusty Roberts (Reidsville, N.C./Rockingham County) shot a two-over-par 74 and shares second place in the 40-man field, two strokes behind leader Max Wyndorf of Randolph-Macon College. The Quakers’ Noah Ratner sits in a four-way tie for fourth after Sunday’s three-over 75. Teammate J.T. Thomas shot a 35 on the back nine to finish with a 76, good for a share of eighth place. Guilford’s Mat Hennick and Alex Wise (Eden, N.C./Carlisle School (Va.)) both shot 78 and share 13th place.

The Quakers are bidding for their 11th ODAC title and their first since 2007. Guilford is ranked first in the latest Nike Golf/Golf World Division III Coaches’ Poll and Golfstat.com Division III Relative Rankings.
