Asheville Tourists’ Russell Wilson(N.C. State) and Kyle Parker(Clemson) puttting up steady numbers:Wilson looking for a boost

Russell Wilson(N.C. State Wolfpack) and Kyle Parker(Clemson Tigers) are both former starting college quarterbacks and now they are baseball teammates this season, with the Asheville Tourists, of the South Atlantic League…..

Parker hasn’t played as many game as Wilson, but the outfielder has come up with more impressive numbers so far, than his sidekick Wilson can…..Parker is batting .412 as of last Friday night and he had a Grand Slam and drove in 7 runs in the Tourists’ 13-12 win, over the Lakewood N.J. Blueclaws……

Wilson, a second baseman, checks in at .167 after the Friday game versus Lakewood and in that game, Russell Wilson hit his first home run as a professional baseball player…..

Wilson will improve and Parker will get better too, but right now patience is the key, as these two former, two-sport ACC stars, get ready to hop on board for the 140 game schedule, that is Class A ball, in the South Atlantic League…..

Wilson is hanging in there, but he really wants to see his numbers come up and Chip Alexander, from the News and Observer out of Raleigh, has come up with the article/post that talks about Russell Wilson and Kyle Parker and what they have to do to keep on pace, as they work to move on to the majors, out of McCormick Field in Asheville, N.C………..
