Another National Honor for Clint Moore(Grimsley HS/Army)

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Clint Moore(Grimsley High School) earned another national honor on Tuesday(today) as Army’s senior shortstop was recognized by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) with one of the organization’s Pro-Line Athletic National Player of the Week awards.

Moore, who hit .333 with four home runs, two doubles and 16 RBI last week, shared the NCBWA’s National Hitter of the Week award with Utah junior shortstop James Brook.

Moore exploded offensively against Lafayette last Monday in helping Army sweep a Patriot League doubleheader from the Leopards. The Greensboro, N.C., native hit a grand slam and drove in five runs in Army’s 9-0 victory in the opening game of the conference twinbill. In a 12-2 win in the nightcap, Moore crushed a solo home run, a two-run shot and a three-run homer and set a new career high with six RBI.

  1. Andy, It is great to read about Clint. Seems like yesterday I was watching him playing short stop at Pleasant Garden. Look forward to watching the MLB
draft this year. I am sure that we will hear his name EARLY.
