Burgess Announces First Members Of Next Year’s Recruiting Class

Bridgewater College head basketball coach Don Bugess announced Monday that three players have agreed to join the Eagles basketball program for the 2011-12 season.

Benaiah Wise, a 5-8 guard, played at Ragsdale H.S. in Greensboro, N.C. for former BC player Craig Shoemaker. Wise, a team captain as a junor and senior, averaged 14 points and four assists per game as a senior. He was a two-time Piedmont Triad All-Conference selection. Wise shot 86 percent from the foul line and made more than 100 3-pointers in his final two seasons at Ragsdale. He was a two-time all-conference selection.

“A Wise decision”……

from the Wise family:
We feel fortunate in that Benaiah’s decision to play in the ODAC for Coach Burgess
will allow us to see him locally at least once a year(vs. Guilford College) and with Coach Burgess former ties to High Point University, possibly more.

Most importantly, we are pleased Benaiah made what we feel was an excellent choice
for academics.

Good luck to Benaiah Wise(Ragsdale HS/Bridgewater College, a young man that can shoot the three and hit some free throws……..
